TS Galaxy head coach Sead Ramovic is convinced goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari will make his mark at new side Kaizer Chiefs.

AmaKhosi and TS Galaxy agreed on a fee worth $300,000 (Rwf392.7 million) for the sale of Ntwari on Friday, July 12.

Ramovic, a former goalkeeper for German Bundesliga clubs VFL Wolfsburg and Borussia Monchengladbach, described Ntwari as a modern shot stopper who meets the current rudiments of the game.

The coach was impressed by the talent that the former AS Kigali goalkeeper has showed during his one-year spell at TS Galaxy and he believes that he will shine at Kaizer Chiefs.

“Modern goalkeepers are as comfortable controlling the ball with their feet as they are with their hands. Having this ability allows them to help their team retain possession after they receive a back pass,” Ramovic said of Ntwari.

“Ntwari has this ability. He is a great goalkeeper, a hard worker, and a modern goalkeeper. He is also a fantastic human being who will fit well into a wonderful club like Kaizer Chiefs, ” he added.

The Rwandan shot stopper has already said goodbye to TS Galaxy in an emotional farewell message that he posted on his social media on Monday, July 15, as he looks set to put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Kaizer Chiefs in the coming days.

” As I say goodbye, I want to thank the chairman Tim Sukazi for the opportunity he gave me to play for this beautiful club and also to the coaching staff headed by Sead Ramovic and goalkeepers coach Greg Etafia for giving me my first professional debut.”

“And to my teammates, you guys welcomed me with both hands, I appreciate your love. To the Rockets [TS Galaxy] fans, I really appreciate the love you showed me. Thank you, I wish you all the best TS Galaxy. Always leave the jersey in a better place,” Ntwari posted on his official Instagram page.

Ntwari made a total of 24 appearances in all competitions for TS Galaxy in the 2023/24 season. He kept 9 clean sheets and conceded 23 goals.

He propelled Galaxy to the final of the Nedbank Cup and was also instrumental as they finished the DSTV Premier League in 6th position.
